PVC DWV caps are used to close or blank the end of matching PVC DWV pipework.
Push-on caps fit over the outside of matching DWV pipe and are solvent welded in place, providing a permanent closure where access is not required. Threaded access caps have an internal female thread that screws onto the external male thread of a matching threaded coupling, providing a removable closure for inspection, testing or cleaning and allowing the pipework to be temporarily blanked when required.
The stated size corresponds to the nominal PVC DWV pipework the cap is designed to suit. Nominal size does not match the measured pipe outside diameter, so confirm the nominal size before ordering.
Push-on caps are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. Threaded access caps do not solvent weld directly to the pipe and require a matching threaded coupling.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
PVC DWV couplings are used to join matching PVC DWV pipe, with plain, repair slip and threaded types available for different installation and access requirements.
Plain couplings join two sections of pipe using female sockets with an internal centre stop. Each pipe slides into the coupling until it reaches the stop, positioning the coupling between the two pipe ends.
Repair slip couplings have no internal stop, allowing the coupling to slide fully along the pipe. This makes them useful for repairs or installations where the pipe cannot be moved far enough to fit a standard coupling.
Threaded couplings have an internal centre stop and can be used like a plain coupling to join two matching pipes. They also have an external male thread that accepts a matching threaded access cap, allowing the fitting to provide removable access when configured for that purpose.
The socket connections fit over matching PVC DWV pipe and are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
PVC DWV Slab Repair Couplings are designed to connect or extend pipework at floor or slab level where there may not be enough exposed pipe to use a standard coupling.
Socket x Into Pipe versions have a female socket at one end that fits over matching DWV pipe, while the reduced spigot at the other end fits inside matching nominal DWV pipe. This allows a connection to be made where only a short section of pipe remains above the slab.
Flanged Socket x Into Pipe versions use the same connection arrangement and include a flange to provide additional support at the floor or slab surface.
Into Pipe x Pipe Size versions have an into-pipe spigot at one end that fits inside matching nominal DWV pipe and a pipe-size spigot at the other end. The pipe-size spigot has the same outside diameter as matching pipe and fits into a compatible female socket fitting.
Connections are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
Rubber Ring Slip Coupling
PVC DWV rubber ring repair couplings are used to join or repair two sections of matching PVC DWV pipe without solvent welding.
Both ends of the coupling have rubber ring seals, and the internal centre stop found in a standard coupling has been removed. This allows the repair coupling to slide fully along the pipe so the pipe ends can be positioned, then slide back across the joint.
The rubber rings create the seal around the outside of the pipe. Suitable pipe lubricant should be applied to the rubber rings and pipe during installation to help the coupling slide into position without damaging or displacing the seals.
Because the joint is made using rubber ring seals, PVC priming fluid and solvent cement are not required.
The stated size corresponds to the nominal PVC pipe size the coupling is designed to suit. Confirm the outside diameter of the pipe where compatibility is uncertain, particularly when working with stormwater pipe.

DWV Trap
DWV traps are commonly used for sink installations to stop sewer gases from rising out of the drain. This is achieved by the trap holding water inside of the bend creating a barrier between the sewer gases and the air of your home.
