PVC DWV side and rear access bends are used to change the direction of matching PVC DWV pipework while providing access to the inside of the line for inspection, cleaning or clearing blockages.
Each bend has a female socket at both ends. Both sockets fit over PVC DWV pipe of the matching nominal size.
Side access bends have the access cap positioned on the side of the bend, while rear access bends have the access cap positioned at the rear. The access cap can be removed when access to the inside of the pipework is required and refitted afterwards.
The sockets are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
PVC DWV pipe is identified by its nominal size, which may differ from its measured outside diameter. Please confirm the correct DWV pipe size before ordering.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
