Our poly water tanks collect and store rainwater for use around the home or farm. Made in Western Australia from UV-stabilised polyethylene, they suit outdoor installation and come fitted with a leaf strainer and screened overflow.
Our slimline tanks provide rainwater storage alongside the house, while the round tanks suit gardens and larger rural installations. Stored water can supply garden irrigation, stock troughs or a household pump system.
Leaf strainers catch leaves at the inlet, and screened overflows help keep mosquitoes out while allowing excess water to escape. Residential tanks have a tap for filling buckets and watering cans, plus a drain bung for cleaning. Agricultural tanks include a brass outlet and poly ball valve for connection to a pump or supply pipework.
Tanks are made to order. Include your preferred colour and outlet positions in the order comments, and our team will contact you to confirm the details, lead time and delivery access.
A delivery fee of $88.00 incl. GST applies to urban/residential tanks delivered directly to customers within 800km of Canning Vale.

Threaded tank fittings provide an inlet or outlet through the wall of a water tank. Guyco nylon fittings use a threaded body, back nut and sealing washers, while matching corrugated gasket kits adapt suitable fittings to the curved profile of a corrugated tank wall.
The Guyco nylon body and nut are UV-stabilised glass-fibre-reinforced Nylon 6. A ribbed rubber washer seals against the tank wall and a low-friction poly washer sits between the back nut and the tank surface. Matching threaded valves or pipe fittings connect to the outlet.
Corrugated gasket kits are separate sealing accessories. Select the kit for the fitting size and thread arrangement; a gasket kit is not a complete tank outlet. The separate CTG5050 50mm kit is for left-hand fittings; the stocked TF50/GFTFT50 fitting has a standard right-hand back-nut thread.
A 20mm x 15mm short-tail reducing outlet provides a smaller outlet connection.
The Austworld 50mm x 40mm brass tank flange creates a threaded connection through a tank wall. Its 50mm (2") external male thread and 40mm (1 1/2") internal female thread connect to matching threaded fittings, valves or pipework.
A brass nut and EPDM and fibre washers secure and seal the fitting at the tank wall. The lead-free DR brass body suits water tank connections where a threaded metal fitting is required.
Match both the external and internal thread sizes to the installation. Use the supplied washers at the tank wall and appropriate sealing on the connected pipe threads.
Uniseal tank fittings seal around a pipe where it passes through the tank wall. The flexible rubber fitting grips the pipe’s outside surface, providing a direct connection without a threaded tank fitting.
Seal sizes correspond to the pipe’s actual outside diameter. Pressure, DWV and stormwater pipes can have different outside diameters even when their nominal sizes are the same.
Fitting notes
Cut the tank hole to the specified diameter and remove ridges and burrs so the seal seats evenly. Bevel the pipe end by at least 15° and smooth any sharp edges to avoid cutting the seal.
Wet the pipe end and apply liquid detergent to its outside, then push it through from the Uniseal’s wide flange side. The detergent is squeezed away as the pipe passes through, leaving the seal gripping the pipe. Do not use silicone, grease or Vaseline, which can compromise its grip under pressure.

IBC adaptors connect taps, hoses and pipework to the coarse thread on an IBC tank or valve. BSP outlets suit threaded fittings, snap-on outlets take garden hose connectors, and camlock outlets provide a detachable hose connection.
An IBC valve outlet can have a different thread from the tank connection behind it. An adaptor may fit the existing valve, or connect directly to the tank when the valve is removed.
The thread-identification guide explains how to measure thread diameter and pitch, with the common IBC sizes shown for comparison.
Rain Harvesting flanged overflow kits provide a screened outlet through a flat tank wall. The straight-through fitting releases excess water at the base of the opening, while the removable stainless steel mesh screen helps keep mosquitoes and other pests out.
The outlet flange and rubber gasket seal against the tank wall, with stainless steel screws securing the fitting. Choose the socket size to match the overflow pipe.
Press the mosquito screen into the outlet without gluing it in place. It can then be removed for cleaning and pressed back in afterwards. Keep the screen clear of sediment and debris so overflow water can escape freely.

Stormwater mozzie screens help prevent mosquitoes and other pests entering a rainwater tank through its overflow pipework. The mesh allows overflow water and ventilation air to pass through.
Fixed screens have stainless steel mesh held within the fitting, with a female socket on one side and a pipe-size male spigot on the other. A push-fit installation allows the fitting to be removed for cleaning.
Easy-clean screens have a hinged mesh section that can be opened for brushing or rinsing while the solvent-welded body remains installed.
Inspect and clean the mesh periodically to keep the overflow clear.

The Rain Harvesting 90mm overflow flap valve helps keep mosquitoes, frogs and other pests out of tank overflow pipework. The flap opens as water flows out and closes when the flow stops, while its screened vent allows air to pass.
The 90mm male spigot fits into a matching female socket at a tank overflow outlet or horizontal overflow connection. Install with the hinge at the top so the flap can return to its closed position.
The screen can be hosed or brushed clean if debris builds up. Leave access to the flap and keep it free to move.
Rain Harvesting Vented Flap Valve Installation & Specifications
The Rain Harvesting 90mm Air Gap creates an open break in a tank overflow pipe to help prevent backed-up stormwater reaching the stored rainwater. Screens at the opening help keep mosquitoes out while excess tank water drains into the pipe below.
The fitting installs in a vertical section of pipe after the tank overflow. Its upper outlet discharges across the open gap into the lower section, separating the tank from the stormwater pipework below.
Install with the marked side facing up and allow access to the screens. The 90mm model requires a 142mm section of pipe to be removed, with both sockets solvent welded to matching pipe. The installation height must suit the drainage arrangement, including whether the stormwater line remains charged with water.
Inspect the screens regularly and remove any dirt or debris. Refit them securely after cleaning to maintain the insect barrier.

PVC sliding gate valves provide a manual drain point for charged stormwater and rainwater pipework, where water remains in the line between rainfall events.
A hand-operated plastic paddle slides across the flow path to retain or release water. The valve has a female socket at both ends that fits over matching pipe.
The valve is intended for fully open or fully closed operation. Maximum pressure is 210kPa, with a maximum pressure across the paddle of 5kPa during opening or closing.
The valve can be fitted in horizontal or vertical pipework. The sockets are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable PVC solvent cement.

PVC sliding gate valves provide a manual open and close point in charged rainwater pipework, allowing a water-filled line to be drained when required.
The valve uses a plastic sliding paddle operated by the handle at the top. Pulling the handle up raises the paddle out of the flow path to open the valve, while pushing it down lowers the paddle across the pipe opening to stop the flow.
Female sockets on both sides of the valve fit over matching PVC DWV pipe and are solvent welded into the pipeline. The valve can be installed in either a horizontal or vertical pipe run.
These valves are particularly useful in charged rainwater systems, where sections of pipe remain full of water between rain events and may need to be drained for cleaning, maintenance or other work.
The valve has a maximum pressure rating of 210 kPa. Maximum pressure across the paddle while it is part-way through opening or closing is 5 kPa, so the valve is intended primarily for fully open or fully closed operation rather than throttling flow.

The Apex VisiBall provides a visible indication of water level in a tank or reservoir without batteries or wiring. An internal float raises and lowers a stainless steel tube, moving the visible ball above the tank as the water level changes.
The adjustable Uni-Ball roof joint lets the tube remain vertical on different tank roof angles. The standard indicator includes a 2m tube, a 150mm bottom float and a 115mm top ball.
A 1m extension is available for a maximum assembled height of 3m and includes a twin-float connector and female socket. The extended setup needs two 150mm bottom floats, so add one more 150mm Apex ball float in black or orange, sold separately.
Fit through a 25mm hole and keep the tube vertical so it can move freely. Use the manufacturer wind limits for the selected tube height.
The Rain Harvesting Tank Gauge shows the water level in a rainwater tank on an easy-to-read dial. A float inside the tank moves the black indicator as the level rises and falls, with adjustable red empty and green full markers for your tank.
The gauge mounts on top of a vented tank and can be read from the ground. Set the full marker to the bottom of the overflow outlet and the empty marker to the bottom of the pump outlet, following the installation guide. These reference points show the usable water level for your installation.
The attached float passes through a 32mm hole in the tank roof. Two supplied screws secure the gauge. Choose a position with a clear view of the dial and room for the float to move freely.
The Pumpmaster Y-FSK-1 float switch turns a compatible pump on and off as the water level changes. The float sits in the water and tilts as the level rises or falls, operating the electrical switch inside.
It can be wired for either filling or emptying. For emptying a sump or tank, the pump starts when the water rises to the upper switching level and stops when it falls to the lower level.
For refilling a tank, the action is reversed: the pump starts when the water falls to the lower switching level and stops when it reaches the upper level. This lets the tank refill automatically without overflowing.
The switch has a 10m three-wire lead and a supplied counterweight. The mounting position and free cable length allow the float to move between its switching positions. Leave it clear of walls, pipes and other obstructions.
Apex and Philmac ball floats for float valves in cold-water tanks and troughs. They rise with the water level to help the valve shut off. Black and orange options are available in diameters from 100mm to 225mm.
The Apex balls and the 100mm and 150mm Philmac balls have 5/16" BSW connections. The 225mm Philmac ball has a 1/2" BSW connection.
Larger floats can provide more closing force but need more room. Match the diameter and thread to your valve and allow space for the float to move freely.
The Apex RainAid 20mm Long Thread keeps a low-level mains backup in a rainwater tank. It opens when the stored water falls to the backup level, leaving room above for the next rainfall. A standard 100mm gap between opening and closing levels controls the backup refill.
Set the backup water level during installation. Follow the matching RA20 instructions for the air gap and mounting arrangement. The working pressure range is 55-1200kPa.
The Apex SpaceSaver 20mm provides automatic water level control for small drinkers, troughs and hydroponic containers. Its compact acetal body and dedicated float suit installations where a larger valve would take up too much room. The float opens the inlet as water is used and closes it at the set level.
Connect to a matching 20mm supply and leave clearance for the float to move freely. The working pressure range is 0-850kPa.
Apex plastic long-tail float valves keep tanks and troughs topped up through an extended threaded inlet. The range has 20mm and 25mm inlet connections, with standard or shorter float levers. The short-arm versions provide an option where float-arm clearance is limited.
The long tail is the extended threaded inlet that passes through the tank wall. The arm is the lever connecting the valve to the float; the short-arm version needs less space inside the tank.
Allow room for the float and arm to move through their full opening and closing travel. Check the drawing for the selected tail and arm before fitting.
Float sold separately. The recommended float is a 150mm Apex ball float in black or orange.
Apex Reservoir float valves fill reservoirs and large header tanks to a set water level. They combine a serviceable acetal sleeve valve with an adjustable, corrosion-resistant DZR brass lever. Inlet sizes are 32mm, 40mm and 50mm.
Mount the inlet horizontally and support it firmly. Check the supply pressure against the rating for the recommended float arrangement.
Floats sold separately. The two-float setup requires two 150mm Apex ball floats in black or orange and a twin-float connector, also sold separately.
Apex Reservoir Dual Level valves let a tank draw down before refilling, with separate start and stop levels. The dual-arm mechanism provides an adjustable 65-270mm gap between those levels. Each valve includes two 150mm orange floats. The range includes 32mm, 40mm and 50mm inlet sizes.
The larger refill cycle allows more stored water to be used between refills. Leave clearance for both arms and floats to move freely. The working pressure is 0-700kPa.
