PVC DWV Insect Proof Vent Cowl with Mesh 100mm is fitted to the top of 100mm PVC DWV vent pipe to allow ventilation while helping prevent insects and vermin from entering the pipe.
This version uses wider ventilation openings protected by wire mesh. The mesh provides a physical barrier against insects while allowing air to move through the cowl.
The female socket fits over nominal 100mm PVC DWV pipe with an approximately 110mm outside diameter.
The socket is joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
The stated 100mm size is nominal and does not equal the measured pipe outside diameter.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
