PVC DWV Vent Cowl 80mm is fitted to the top of 80mm PVC DWV vent pipe to finish the open end while allowing air to move through the plumbing and drainage vent system.
The standard cowl design uses wide openings to provide an open path for ventilation.
The female socket fits over nominal 80mm PVC DWV pipe with an approximately 82mm outside diameter.
The socket is joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
The stated 80mm size is nominal and does not equal the measured pipe outside diameter.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
