PVC DWV Test Opening Tee MF with Cap 150mm is installed in a straight 150mm PVC drainage pipe run to provide a removable access point for testing, inspection and maintenance.
The fitting has one 150mm female socket and one 150mm pipe-size spigot. The female socket fits over compatible nominal 150mm PVC DWV and stormwater pipe with an approximately 160mm outside diameter. The 150mm pipe-size spigot also has an approximately 160mm outside diameter and fits into the socket of another matching 150mm fitting.
The capped test opening provides access to the inside of the pipework when required. The cap remains fitted during normal use and can be removed for testing, inspection or maintenance and refitted afterwards. The cap is supplied with the fitting.
The socket and spigot connections are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
The stated 150mm size is nominal and does not equal the measured pipe outside diameter.
Suitable for compatible non-pressure stormwater and drainage applications.
