PVC DWV Test Opening Tee MF with Cap 100mm is installed in a straight 100mm PVC DWV pipe run to provide a removable access point for testing, inspection and maintenance.
The fitting has one 100mm female socket and one 100mm pipe-size spigot. The female socket fits over nominal 100mm PVC DWV pipe with an approximately 110mm outside diameter. The pipe-size spigot also has an approximately 110mm outside diameter and fits into the socket of another matching 100mm PVC DWV fitting.
The capped test opening provides access to the inside of the pipework when required. The cap remains fitted during normal use and can be removed for testing, inspection or maintenance and refitted afterwards. The cap is supplied with the fitting.
The socket and spigot connections are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
The stated 100mm size is nominal and does not equal the measured pipe outside diameter.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
