PVC DWV caps are used to close or blank the end of matching PVC DWV pipework. The range includes push-on caps for permanent solvent-weld closure and threaded access caps for removable access or temporary blanking.
Push-on caps have a solvent-weld socket that fits over PVC DWV pipe of the matching nominal size. They are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement, creating a permanent solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
Threaded access caps have an internal female thread that screws onto the male external thread of a matching PVC DWV threaded coupling. They can be removed when access is required for inspection, testing or cleaning and do not solvent-weld directly onto the pipe. Matching threaded coupling not included.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are identified by nominal size, which may differ from the measured pipe outside diameter. Please confirm the required cap type, nominal size and connection compatibility before ordering.
