PVC DWV pan collars connect the outlet of a toilet pan to nominal 100mm PVC DWV pipe. The toilet outlet pushes into a flexible pan seal at the top of the collar, while the lower spigot fits inside the DWV pipe.
The pan seal forms a sealed connection around the toilet outlet and is held in position by a seal retainer cap. The spigot is joined inside the 100mm DWV pipe using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement.
Straight pan collars keep the toilet outlet and DWV pipe centred in line. Offset pan collars move the pan connection 20mm to one side, helping accommodate installations where the toilet outlet and DWV pipe are not directly aligned.
Short and long spigot designs provide different connection depths into the DWV pipe. The appropriate design can be selected to suit the pipe position and available installation depth.
Offset pan collars are not recommended for P-trap WC installations. When fitting any pan collar, the toilet outlet should be positioned so it does not contact the base of the pan collar body.
