PVC DWV Repair Coupling Rubber Ring 150mm is used to join or repair two sections of nominal 150mm PVC pipe without solvent welding.
The fitting has a 150mm rubber-ring socket at both ends and no centre stop, allowing the complete coupling to slide along the pipe and then back over the joint. Both sockets fit over compatible 150mm PVC DWV or PVC stormwater pipe with an approximately 160mm outside diameter.
This sliding design is useful when removing a damaged pipe section and installing a replacement section, typically with one repair coupling at each end.
Before installation, clean the pipe ends and the inside of the coupling. Check that both rubber rings are clean, undamaged and seated correctly, with no dirt or debris on or behind the seals where accessible.
Apply suitable PVC rubber-ring jointing lubricant before sliding the coupling into position. PVC priming fluid and solvent cement are not used for these joints.
The stated 150mm size is nominal and does not equal the measured pipe outside diameter. This fitting suits compatible 150mm PVC DWV and PVC stormwater pipe with an approximately 160mm outside diameter.
