PVC DWV Two Piece Repair Couplings are designed to repair existing DWV pipe where there is not enough movement or space to install a conventional one-piece coupling.
The coupling separates into two halves so it can be positioned around the outside of the pipe after the replacement pipe has been placed into position. A rubber seal fits around the pipe, and the two coupling halves are secured together with retaining clips to form the joint.
This makes the clamp-style design particularly useful in confined spaces and existing installations where surrounding pipework cannot be moved sufficiently to slide a conventional repair coupling into place.
When a damaged section of pipe is cut out and replaced, one two-piece repair coupling is normally used at each end of the replacement pipe section.
The stated size corresponds to the nominal PVC DWV pipe size the coupling is designed to suit. PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
