Rubber joiners are flexible mechanical couplings used to join two plain-ended pipes without solvent welding. The flexible body fits over the outside of both pipe ends and is secured using stainless steel clamps.
These rubber joiners are commonly used with PVC DWV pipe. They can also be used with other compatible pipe materials, including PVC, copper, galvanised steel and cast iron, if the pipe's outside diameter is within the joiner's clamping range.
They provide a practical way to join, repair or alter non-pressure drainage pipework, particularly where a solvent-welded connection is not suitable or where different compatible pipe materials need to be joined.
The flexible EPVC body is secured at each end by 316 stainless steel clamps and is suitable for above and below ground applications.
The stated size for each joiner matches the nominal DWV pipe size it is designed to suit. Confirm the compatibility of this joiner to a pipe by comparing the clamping range to the pipe's outside diameter.
These rubber joiners are intended for non-pressure applications and are not suitable for potable water systems.
