PVC DWV Male Iron Adaptor 50mm x 50mm (2") BSPM has a 50mm pipe-size PVC DWV spigot at one end and a 50mm (2") male BSP thread at the other.
The 50mm spigot has an approximately 56mm outside diameter and fits inside a matching 50mm PVC DWV fitting socket. The 50mm (2") male BSP thread screws into a fitting or component with a matching female BSP thread.
Join the spigot inside the matching socket using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
The stated 50mm DWV size is nominal and does not equal the measured spigot outside diameter. Although both connections have a nominal 50mm size, one is a pipe-size DWV spigot and the other is a male BSP thread.
The fitting body is made from PVC-U.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
