DWV Adjustable Floor Waste Gully P Trap 100mm x 100mm is used at the base of a 100mm floor waste gully riser to provide a trapped connection to 100mm DWV drainage pipework.
The P-trap retains a body of water after discharge, creating a water seal that helps prevent sewer gases and odours from travelling back through the floor waste opening. It can collect floor drainage and permitted fixture waste discharges when incorporated into a correctly configured floor waste gully system.
The 100mm upper female socket and adjustable 100mm outlet socket both fit over nominal 100mm PVC DWV pipe, which has an approximately 110mm outside diameter. The adjustable outlet assists with aligning the trap to the downstream pipework during installation.
Both connections are solvent welded using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
Manufactured from PVC-U for non-pressure DWV applications. The floor waste riser, grate and other components above the trap are separate parts of the complete floor waste gully installation.
