PVC DWV Level Invert Taper 65 mm x 40 mm is used to connect 40mm PVC DWV pipe to a larger 65mm female socket fitting while keeping the inside bottom of both sides level.
The smaller 40mm female socket fits over nominal 40mm PVC DWV pipe with an approximately 43mm outside diameter. The larger 65mm pipe-size spigot has an approximately 69mm outside diameter and fits into a compatible 65mm female socket fitting.
The tapered offset design of the fitting allows you to keep the inside bottom of both sides level.
The socket and pipe-size spigot connections are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
The stated 65mm and 40mm sizes are nominal and do not equal the measured pipe outside diameters.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
