PVC DWV (Stormwater) level invert tapers are used between a smaller pipe and a larger fitting. The smaller size female socket fits over matching pipe, and the larger pipe-size spigot fits into a matching socket. The tapered offset design of the fitting allows you to keep the inside bottom of both sides level.
The socket and pipe-size spigot are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are identified by nominal sizes, which may differ from their measured outside diameters. Please confirm both connection sizes before ordering.
Where PVC DWV and PVC stormwater systems share the same nominal size and outside diameter, compatible level invert tapers may be used with either system.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
