DWV Coupling Threaded 150mm can be used like a standard plain coupling to join two sections of nominal 150mm PVC DWV pipe and also has an external male thread that accepts a matching threaded access cap.
The two 150mm female sockets fit over matching PVC DWV pipe, which has an approximately 160mm outside diameter. An internal centre stop positions the pipe ends within the coupling in the same way as a plain coupling.
The external male thread accepts a matching 150mm threaded access cap, allowing the fitting to provide removable access for inspection, cleaning or temporary blanking when configured for that purpose.
The socket connections are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
