PVC DWV riser junctions and 4 way risers are used to connect branch pipes into a main PVC DWV riser while continuing the main pipe run.
The main riser connection is male-female. One end has a female socket that fits over PVC DWV pipe of the matching nominal size, while the opposite pipe-size spigot has the same outside diameter as matching pipe and fits into the socket of another matching fitting.
Riser junctions provide a single female branch socket. 4 way risers provide four female branch sockets, allowing several branch pipes to connect into the same riser fitting. The branch sizes are identified in the product name and may include different nominal pipe sizes on the same fitting.
The branch connections enter the main riser at 88°. Each female branch socket fits over PVC DWV pipe of the matching nominal size.
The socket and spigot connections are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
PVC DWV pipe is identified by its nominal size, which may differ from its measured outside diameter. Please confirm the main riser and branch pipe sizes before ordering.
PVC DWV pipe and fittings are suitable for use in stormwater, sewerage, wastewater, vent, and other non-pressure applications.
