PVC DWV Female Iron Coupling 50mm x 40mm (1 1/2") BSPF has a 50mm PVC DWV socket at one end and a 40mm (1 1/2") female BSP thread at the other.
The 50mm socket fits over PVC DWV pipe with an approximately 56mm outside diameter. The 40mm (1 1/2") female BSP thread accepts a fitting or component with a matching male BSP thread.
Join the socket to the pipe using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
The stated 50mm pipe size is nominal and does not equal the measured pipe outside diameter. The 50mm DWV socket and 40mm (1 1/2") BSPF thread identify separate connections.
The fitting body is made from PVC-U.
