HUNTER PRO-C / HPC PCM EXPANSION MODULES

Hunter PCM modules provide additional conventional wired station outputs for compatible Pro-C and HPC modular irrigation controllers. Each output controls a separate watering zone through the controller. Select the modules by the total number of stations required, rather than treating the module rating as the controller’s final capacity.

Check the controller model and date code before ordering for an existing system. Hunter lists PCM-1600 and PC-DM compatibility with P2C controllers and PC-400 controllers dated February 2020 or newer. Older Pro-C generations have different module compatibility and station limits. The configuration totals here refer to compatible four-station modular Pro-C and HPC systems.

Conventional station expansion

Totals include the four stations supplied with the controller. Expansion modules are purchased separately.

Install PCM-300 in the first expansion slot for stations 5–7 before fitting PCM-900 or PCM-1600 in the upper two expansion slots. The larger modules do not fit or operate in other output slots. Additional PCM-300 modules fit the remaining expansion slots.

Use the controller Power Lock to unlock the output slots, fit the modules in their required positions, then lock them in place. The controller normally recognises the station count automatically. Hunter notes that a reset or power cycle may sometimes be needed.

For two-wire expansion, use PC-DM with compatible EZ-1 or EZ-LR field decoders. That is a different expansion arrangement from PCM conventional station outputs. Controller and expansion hardware are selected separately.
