Rain Bird DV, DVF and PGA solenoid valves control the water supply to irrigation zones. Select the model to suit the required flow, operating pressure, connections and controller output.
DV and DVF valves have a double-filtered pilot circuit to help keep debris out of their control passages. The DVF includes a handle for adjusting water flow. The listed DC-latching DVF operates with a compatible battery-powered controller; the other listed valves use 24V AC.
PGA valves combine a PVC body with a glass-filled nylon bonnet. Their slow-closing action helps reduce water hammer, and the flow-control handle adjusts water flow without rising as it is turned.
On the 24V AC DV and DVF models, turn the solenoid handle anticlockwise 1/4 to 1/2 turn to open the valve manually. PGA models use 1/4 to 3/4 turn, until water flows. Return the handle clockwise to close the manual control and restore controller operation. Internal bleed releases pressure above the diaphragm into the outlet pipe. The DV and DVF external bleed screw releases water outside the valve for flushing during installation and start-up. Keep this screw closed during normal controller operation.
