HUNTER IRRIGATION SOLENOID VALVES

The Hunter PGV 50mm solenoid valve controls water flow to an irrigation zone using a compatible 24V AC irrigation controller. The top is secured with captive screws that stay with the cover during servicing. The flow-control handle adjusts water flow at the valve.

The Hunter PGV 50mm solenoid valve controls water flow to an irrigation zone. The flow-control handle adjusts water flow at the valve.

Its 24V AC solenoid operates with a compatible irrigation controller. Captive bonnet screws stay with the cover during servicing, helping prevent lost parts.

To open the valve manually, turn the solenoid anticlockwise 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Turn it clockwise until hand-tight to return the valve to controller operation. This releases pressure above the diaphragm through an internal passage to the outlet, without discharging water into the valve box. The external bleed screw releases water and pressure from the chamber above the diaphragm to the outside of the valve. This allows the valve to open during servicing and troubleshooting. Keep the screw closed during normal controller operation.
