The Hunter ICV 80mm solenoid valve has a glass-filled nylon body and a fabric-reinforced EPDM diaphragm and seat. It operates at pressures up to 1500 kPa and includes flow control for adjustment at the valve.

The glass-filled nylon body and fabric-reinforced EPDM diaphragm and seat suit demanding irrigation installations.

To open the valve manually, turn the solenoid anticlockwise 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Turn it clockwise until hand-tight to return the valve to controller operation. This releases pressure above the diaphragm through an internal passage to the outlet, without discharging water into the valve box. The external bleed screw releases water and pressure from the chamber above the diaphragm to the outside of the valve. This allows the valve to open during servicing and troubleshooting. Keep the screw closed during normal controller operation.
