The Irritrol 217B-M 50mm solenoid valve operates over a flow range of 225-450 L/min. Its flow-control handle adjusts water flow and allows manual shutoff.
A slow-closing design helps reduce water hammer when the valve shuts. The PVC body, ribbed bonnet and stainless steel hardware provide a durable assembly, while the diaphragm can be serviced without removing the valve from the pipework.
Internal manual bleed releases pressure above the diaphragm into the outlet pipe, allowing the valve to open without an electrical signal. Water stays within the pipework. Close the manual control after testing to return the valve to controller operation. The external bleed screw releases water and pressure from the chamber above the diaphragm to the outside of the valve. This allows the valve to open during servicing and troubleshooting. Keep the screw closed during normal controller operation.
