Precipitation rate describes how quickly water is applied across the area, measured in millimetres per hour.
R-VAN family rate: Approximately 16 mm/hour with square spacing. Match nozzle precipitation rates and layout on a shared irrigation zone.
Adjust the arc of part-circle models and the watering distance by hand while the sprinkler is running. Full-circle and strip patterns remain fixed. Pull up on the nozzle top to flush debris. The mesh filter can be removed for cleaning.
Rotating streams deliver even coverage, with large droplets that help resist wind drift. Water is applied more slowly than with traditional spray nozzles, giving the soil more time to absorb it. Adjustments can be made by hand while the sprinkler is running, and the pull-up flushing feature helps clear debris. UV-resistant construction and a stainless steel protective cap provide durability.
Female nozzle thread suits Rain Bird 1800 sprinkler bodies. Sprinkler body sold separately. The nozzle can also be used with matching shrubhead adaptors where pop-up is not required, typically installed on top of a riser.
