PVC pressure bush reducing fittings are PVC-U fittings with a larger solvent-weld spigot and a smaller solvent-weld socket. They are used to reduce a matching PVC pressure fitting socket to accept a smaller size of PVC pressure pipe.
The larger spigot inserts into a matching moulded PVC pressure fitting socket and is joined using PVC priming fluid and pressure-rated solvent cement. The smaller socket fits over PVC pressure pipe of its matching nominal size and is joined using the same solvent-weld method. The spigot is designed for use with a fitting socket and should not be installed into a PVC pressure pipe socket.
PVC pressure pipe sizes are nominal, so the stated sizes are different from the measured outside diameters. Confirm both the fitting socket size and PVC pressure pipe size before ordering.
These bush reducing fittings are suited to residential, commercial and agricultural irrigation, garden and landscape watering, domestic and rural water supply, pump systems, pool and spa equipment, general water transfer and compatible PVC pressure pipework.
