Cold Gal is a grey, zinc-rich epoxy coating for prepared ferrous metal. Its 93% zinc dust content in the dry film provides sacrificial protection: zinc corrodes in preference to the steel beneath it. It is suitable for damaged galvanised areas and metal exposed around welds.

Silver Gal is an epoxy coating with 48% zinc dust in the dry film. It combines corrosion protection with a light silver appearance for steel, welded joints and galvanised-metal touch-ups.

Black Gal is a high-build, fast-drying enamel primer/topcoat for steel. It provides a low-gloss black finish and may be used beneath most single-pack enamels. Aluminium and galvanised iron require a suitable etch primer before Black Gal is applied.

All three require clean, dry, properly prepared surfaces. Remove rust to sound metal and remove grease, oil and other contamination. Do not use rust converter beneath Cold Gal or Silver Gal, as it reacts with the zinc and can reduce corrosion protection.

Use light, overlapping coats and follow the selected coating's application, drying and topcoating instructions. These coatings are suitable for splash exposure and are not recommended for submergence.
