Anchor Industrial Black Gal is a high-build enamel coating with adhesion and corrosion-resistant properties for steel. It provides a smooth black finish and can serve as either a protective topcoat or a primer beneath most single-pack enamels.

Apply directly to properly prepared ferrous surfaces such as mild and heavy gauge steel. Aluminium and galvanised iron need a suitable etch primer before Black Gal is applied.

Remove rust to sound metal and clean away grease, oil, dust, wax and salt contamination. Sand previously painted surfaces smooth, and ensure the surface is dry before spraying. Lightly sand and remove dust before applying a compatible topcoat.

Use several light coats rather than one heavy coat. The coating is suitable for splash exposure and is not recommended for continuous submergence. Follow the product-specific drying and curing instructions before handling or topcoating.
