Hunter I-40 Gear Drive Sprinklers for large turf irrigation.
The Hunter gear drive adjustment tool is required for arc adjustment and is also used for nozzle installation and radius adjustment.
The I-40 combines a rugged body and stainless steel riser to help withstand wear over time. The adjustable model has automatic arc return and a non-strippable drive; the opposing-nozzle model provides fixed full-circle watering.
The adjustable model covers a 13.1–21.3 metre radius across its nozzle configurations. The opposing-nozzle model covers 15.2–23.2 metres, with additional streams for distribution nearer the sprinkler. Recommended operating pressure is 250–700 kPa.
The adjustable model sets from 50° to 360°. The opposing-nozzle model has a fixed 360° pattern. Nozzle selection and operating pressure determine watering distance and flow. Choose the nozzle for both watering distance and arc so sprinklers on the same zone apply water at similar rates.
Both models use a stainless steel riser with a 100mm pop-up height. The overall body height is 200mm when retracted, with a 25mm BSP female inlet.
The built-in check valve holds back up to 4.5 metres of elevation, reducing drainage through lower heads after watering.
Six nozzle choices are supplied per sprinkler, with a 25° trajectory.
Warranty: Five years.
