PVC stormwater couplings join two lengths of pipe in a straight line. Each coupling has a female socket at both ends that fits over matching pipe.
Plain couplings have an internal centre stop that positions each pipe halfway into the fitting.
Slip couplings have no centre stop, so the full coupling can slide onto one pipe before being moved back over the adjoining pipe ends. This is useful for repairs where the pipework has limited movement.
Threaded couplings can be used to join pipe like plain couplings. They also have a male external thread around one socket end that accepts a matching threaded access cap. The cap can be unscrewed when access is required.
The pipe sockets are joined using PVC priming fluid and suitable non-pressure PVC solvent cement. Suitable for non-pressure stormwater drainage.
