OASE BioPress kits combine a pond pump, pressure filter, UVC clarifier and connecting hose. Set 4000, 6000 and 10000 suit ponds up to 4,000L, 6,000L and 10,000L without fish, or half those capacities with fish. The matched components provide mechanical and biological filtration alongside treatment of green-water algae.
Filter foams trap suspended dirt and provide surfaces for biological filtration. The UVC clarifier treats green-water algae; its lamp output is a different figure from the electrical power drawn by the UVC unit. The cleaning handle in the lid compresses the filter foams, and the filter can be buried up to its lid.
The submerged pump sends water through the pressure filter before it returns to the pond or an elevated watercourse. The filter has a maximum operating pressure of 20kPa (0.2bar); this is a pressure limit, not a watercourse-height rating. The pump and UVC each have a separate mains plug, requiring two powered sockets. Start the pump before powering the UVC.
