The OASE BioPress Set 10000 combines a pond pump, pressure filter and 11W UVC lamp for ponds up to 10,000L without fish or 5,000L with fish. A 5m connecting hose is included. The included FP 3500 pump has separate maximum ratings of 3,400L/h and 2.7m head.
Filter foams trap suspended dirt and provide surfaces for biological filtration. The UVC clarifier treats green-water algae; its lamp output is a different figure from the electrical power drawn by the UVC unit. The cleaning handle in the lid compresses the filter foams, and the filter can be buried up to its lid.
The submerged pump sends water through the pressure filter before it returns to the pond or an elevated watercourse. The filter has a maximum operating pressure of 20kPa (0.2bar); this is a pressure limit, not a watercourse-height rating. The pump and UVC each have a separate mains plug, requiring two powered sockets. Start the pump before powering the UVC.
