The Hunter WAND Wi-Fi Module is a plug-in upgrade for Hunter X2 irrigation controllers, adding Hydrawise® smart irrigation management and remote controller access. Once installed, the WAND Module allows the X2 controller to connect to the internet through a suitable Wi-Fi network, so irrigation can be managed from a smartphone, tablet or computer.
Designed specifically for the Hunter X2 controller range, the WAND Module upgrades a standard X2 controller into a Hydrawise-enabled smart irrigation system. Hydrawise provides cloud-based scheduling, controller status alerts and weather-based watering adjustment to help improve irrigation efficiency and reduce water waste.
Installation is simple: remove the Wi-Fi cover from the X2 controller and insert the WAND Module. When installed, the X2 controller’s dial and button programming functions, existing schedule and settings are disabled, with programming managed through Hydrawise. Manual operation functions such as start/stop station and test all stations can still be activated from the controller.
For reliable operation, the WAND Module requires a suitable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network with medium-to-high signal strength at the controller location. The X2 controller dial must remain in the RUN position for remote Hydrawise operation.
