Hunter I-90 80mm Pop-Up Rotor for parks, sports fields and larger turf areas. Robust construction supports a long service life. Three nozzles distribute water across the throw, while the built-in check valve reduces drainage through lower heads after watering.

The Hunter gear drive adjustment tool is required for arc adjustment and is also used for nozzle installation and radius adjustment.

Hunter I-90 Gear Drive Sprinkler Specifications

Hunter I-90 80mm Pop-Up Rotor for parks, sports fields and larger turf areas. Its robust body is built for a long service life.

Its three-nozzle arrangement distributes water across the long-range watering pattern.

The I-90 provides a 20.1–29.6 metre radius across its nozzle configurations. Radius is the distance from the sprinkler to the outer edge of the watering pattern. Recommended operating pressure is 550–830 kPa.

The spray arc adjusts from 40° to 360°. The top adjustment screw lets you shorten the watering distance. Choose the nozzle for both watering distance and arc so sprinklers on the same zone apply water at similar rates.

The Hunter gear drive adjustment tool is required for arc adjustment and is also used for nozzle installation and radius adjustment.

The built-in check valve holds back up to 2 metres of elevation, reducing drainage through lower heads after watering.

The 80mm plastic riser extends during watering and retracts afterwards. The inlet is 40mm (1 1/2") BSP female. The overall body height when retracted is 280mm.

Supplied with 8 nozzle choices.

Warranty: Five years.

✓ Coverage and Spray Pattern
Radius: 20.1–29.6 metres across nozzle and pressure options. Radius is the distance from the sprinkler to the outer edge of the watering pattern.
Spray arc: 40°–360°.

✓ Pressure & Flow
Recommended pressure: 550–830 kPa.
Operating pressure: 550–1,030 kPa.
Flow: 111.7–317.2 L/min across the nozzle range.
See ‘Precipitation Rate’ below for how the arc setting affects the amount of water applied across the area.

✓ Nozzles and Performance
Supplied with 8 nozzle choices.

ADV adjustable model; flow is the total for the nozzle configuration.
Example comparison at 700 kPa, before radius reduction:
25 Light Blue nozzle: 20.7 metre radius; 125.7 L/min.
33 Grey nozzle: 21.3 metre radius; 152.9 L/min.
38 Red nozzle: 22.9 metre radius; 171.9 L/min.
43 Dark Brown nozzle: 22.9 metre radius; 191.9 L/min.
48 Dark Green nozzle: 24.7 metre radius; 208.6 L/min.
53 Dark Blue (factory fitted) nozzle: 26.2 metre radius; 225.2 L/min.
63 Black nozzle: 27.4 metre radius; 261.2 L/min.
73 Orange nozzle: 28.3 metre radius; 295.6 L/min.

✓ Radius Adjustment
The top adjustment screw lets you shorten the watering distance. Choose the nozzle for the required watering distance, then use the screw to shorten the radius as needed.

✓ Sprinkler Spacing
Spacing is the distance between neighbouring sprinklers.
For head-to-head coverage, each sprinkler throws water far enough to reach the next sprinkler. This overlap helps water the area between them evenly.
Use the actual watering distance after adjustment when planning the spacing.
A square layout places sprinklers on a square grid. A triangular layout uses staggered rows.

✓ Precipitation Rate
Precipitation rate describes how quickly water is applied across the area, measured in millimetres per hour.
For example, with the 53 Dark Blue nozzle at 700 kPa, a 180° half-circle arc and sprinklers spaced 26.2 metres apart:
Square layout: 39.3 mm/hour.
Triangular layout: 45.4 mm/hour.
At the same pressure, the same nozzle uses essentially the same flow whatever the arc setting. A smaller arc concentrates that water over a smaller area.
Different nozzle sizes can help balance watering between smaller and larger arcs, but they also change the watering distance. Choose nozzles that maintain head-to-head coverage; changing nozzle size alone may not suit an existing layout.
Where suitable nozzle combinations cannot provide similar watering rates, put sprinklers with different watering rates on separate zones so their run times can be set independently.

✓ Operation and Servicing
Forward-facing triple nozzles provide adjustable part- and full-circle watering. The check valve holds back up to 2 metres of elevation.

✓ Warranty
Five years.
