Galvanised Reducing Hex Bushes have a larger male BSP outside thread and a smaller female BSP inside thread. They reduce a female threaded opening to accept a smaller male BSP fitting.

The hex section provides a grip for a spanner during installation.

The bodies are made from hot dip galvanised malleable iron for water, air and general pipework applications. Use suitable thread sealant or PTFE tape on the bush’s outside male thread and the male thread of the fitting installed into it.

Avoid joining brass, galvanised and stainless steel fittings directly to one another. Use a plastic or other suitable non-conductive fitting or adaptor between different metals to prevent galvanic corrosion where water is present.
