This 40mm (1 1/2") Anka poly foot valve fits at the suction end of a pump line. A spring-loaded plunger retains water and helps maintain pump prime when pumping stops. The polypropylene screen limits the entry of larger debris. Its glass fibre reinforced nylon body suits cold-water applications and can be dismantled for cleaning.

Keep the intake screen submerged and accessible for inspection. Follow the intended direction of flow and use the size-specific pressure-loss curves when assessing pump suction performance.
