Anka poly foot valves fit at the suction end of a pump line to retain water and maintain pump prime when pumping stops. Their spring-loaded check closes against reverse flow, while the screen limits the entry of larger debris. The 20mm-50mm threaded valves have glass fibre reinforced nylon bodies for cold-water irrigation and pumping applications.
The spring-loaded plunger opens for forward flow and returns to its sealing position when the pump stops. These valves may be installed at any angle and can be dismantled for cleaning.
Keep the intake screen submerged and accessible for inspection. Follow the intended direction of flow and use the size-specific pressure-loss curves when assessing pump suction performance.
