Philmac blue-handled poly ball valves provide manual on/off control for irrigation, rural water supply and plumbing pipework. Female BSP threaded connections are available in 15mm-50mm sizes. Water can pass through in either direction, and the valve can be installed at any angle. The blue handle shows the valve position clearly, sitting inline when open and across the body when closed.
The Australian-made valves use glass fibre reinforced nylon bodies and an acetal ball. UV-stabilised materials, nitrile O-rings and stainless steel screws support outdoor water-supply use. The valves have a 1600kPa static shutoff rating at 20°C and are rated for cold water.
Apply PTFE tape or an approved sealant to the male fitting. Tighten using the valve end caps, keeping tools off the centre body. Close the handle gradually to reduce the likelihood of water hammer.
