The Uniseal Tank Fitting Pressure 32mm / DWV 40mm seals around the pipe as it passes through a tank wall. Its flexible rubber body grips the outside of the pipe, providing a direct pipe entry without a threaded tank fitting.
Seal sizes correspond to the pipe’s actual outside diameter. Pressure, DWV and stormwater pipes can have different outside diameters even when their nominal sizes are the same.
Fitting notes
Cut the tank hole to the specified diameter and remove ridges and burrs so the seal seats evenly. Bevel the pipe end by at least 15° and smooth any sharp edges to avoid cutting the seal.
Wet the pipe end and apply liquid detergent to its outside, then push it through from the Uniseal’s wide flange side. The detergent is squeezed away as the pipe passes through, leaving the seal gripping the pipe. Do not use silicone, grease or Vaseline, which can compromise its grip under pressure.
