The Davey Supercell 24080F is a 80L composite pressure tank for household, farm and industrial water systems. A flexible rubber diaphragm separates the water from compressed air, which pushes water out when a tap opens. This reserve allows smaller amounts of water to be used without starting the pump each time. Fewer starts reduce wear from repeated starting and stopping, helping extend pump life, and can reduce electricity use and running costs. The fibreglass shell and non-metal water-contact components resist corrosion, making this range useful in coastal and humid locations. The free-standing tank sits upright on its own base.

Nominal tank capacity is the vessel size, not the amount of water available between pump starts. Usable draw-off depends on the start and stop pressures and the air charge. At pump start/stop pressures of 200–400 kPa, these tanks provide roughly 38% of their nominal volume between starts. Other pressure settings and control types give different results.
The tank has a continuous-strand fibreglass outer shell sealed with epoxy resin, a polypropylene inner shell and a virgin copolymer polypropylene liner. A butyl-rubber diaphragm separates the air and water, and the water connection is reinforced plastic. The non-metal water-contact components avoid corrosion of metal wetted parts. The diaphragm and liner are suitable for potable-water applications.
Maximum working pressure is 860 kPa. Water temperature must remain between 1°C and 50°C. Protect the tank and connected pipework from freezing.
Install upright on a firm base in a covered, dry position with drainage and access for servicing. The water connection is at the bottom of the tank and faces horizontally. Do not overtighten the plastic connection.
Set the air charge to suit the pump controls and system pressures. Pressure-switch, electronic and variable-speed systems can require different settings; follow the tank and pump/controller instructions. Release all water pressure before checking or adjusting the air charge.
