Spears PVC swing check valves provide automatic non-return operation in solvent-welded water pipework. Forward flow opens the internal check, while reverse flow closes it to limit water travelling back through the line. Socket connections are available in 15mm-100mm sizes. Correct orientation and pipe support are important because the check must move freely and the body must remain free of pipe stress.
Slip x slip sockets join matching PVC pipe. The PVC body has an EPDM seat and no metal parts. At 23°C, maximum pressure is 1034kPa when open and 517kPa back pressure when closed. Opening pressure is less than 4kPa.
Follow the flow arrow and keep the valve upright in horizontal installations. Vertical installation requires upward flow. Limit flow velocity to 1.5m/s. These valves are not suitable for compressed air or gas.
