Lowara 6GS11 is a 1.1kW multistage bore pump for irrigation, tank filling and water supply. Reference performance is 100L/min at 40.3m head. This version uses a 380-415V three-phase supply.
Flow and head are paired hydraulic reference values at approximately 2900rpm, 50Hz. Actual flow depends on the pumping lift, required outlet pressure and pipe resistance. Use the matching performance curve to assess expected flow for the installation.
The outlet is 32mm (1 1/4") BSP female thread. A built-in non-return valve reduces backflow when the pump stops. These pumps handle clean bore water with up to 150g/m3 of sand.
A suitable external starter and motor overload protection are required. Motor overload protection must match the supplied motor nameplate.
For automatic tank filling or pressure operation, connect suitable level or pressure controls. Use dry-running protection where a falling water level could expose the pump. Extend the motor lead with correctly sized submersible cable and a suitable waterproof joint; secure the cable to the delivery pipe every 2-3m.
Install with the motor below the pump and keep the complete assembly submerged. While pumping, keep at least 1m of water above the pump outlet. Allow at least 3mm difference between the pump outside diameter and the bore internal diameter, with room for the cable and fittings. Position the pump clear of the bore bottom and accumulated sediment. Support it using suitable pipework and installation hardware; never lift or suspend it by its electrical cable.
Water temperature is limited to 35°C. Water must move around the outside of the motor at least 0.08m/s (8cm/s) to remove heat. Fit a cooling sleeve if the installation cannot provide that flow, including unsuitable wide-bore or tank arrangements. Keep the pump submerged and do not run it dry.
The pump casing, shaft, strainer and cable guard are stainless steel, with a cast stainless-steel discharge head and motor adapter. Floating PPO technopolymer impellers and diffusers help resist wear from sand. The pump head contains a stainless-steel non-return valve.
Suitable clean-water geothermal or fountain installations also require the correct motor cooling, submergence and controls.
