PVC pressure plain tees are PVC-U fittings with a solvent-weld socket on all three openings. They join three lengths of matching PVC pressure pipe and create a 90° branch from the main pipeline.
Each socket fits over PVC pressure pipe of the same nominal size and is joined using PVC priming fluid and pressure-rated solvent cement. PVC pressure pipe sizes are nominal, so the stated size is different from the measured pipe outside diameter. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
These tees are suited to residential, commercial and agricultural irrigation, garden and landscape watering, domestic and rural water supply, sprinkler installations, pump systems, pool and spa equipment, general water transfer and compatible PVC pressure pipework.
