PVC pressure reducing tees are PVC-U fittings with three solvent-weld sockets. They join two lengths of matching PVC pressure pipe in a straight line and create a smaller 90° branch from the main pipeline.
Each socket fits over PVC pressure pipe of its matching nominal size and is joined using PVC priming fluid and pressure-rated solvent cement. PVC pressure pipe sizes are nominal, so the stated sizes are different from the measured pipe outside diameters. This joining method is known as a solvent weld joint, or SWJ.
These tees are suited to residential, commercial and agricultural irrigation, garden and landscape watering, domestic and rural water supply, sprinkler installations, pump systems, pool and spa equipment, general water transfer and compatible PVC pressure pipework.
