The PondMAX PU3500 is for moving freshwater pond water to external biological filters, waterfalls and watercourses. Its maximum flow is 3,600L/h and its separate maximum head is 2.4m. The cage and open-vane impeller pass soft pond debris up to 6mm to a separate filter.
A ceramic shaft supports the open-vane impeller, and the cage opens without tools for maintenance. Soft start brings the rotor up to speed gradually. Anti-jam electronics interrupt a stalled rotor and attempt restarts; if the obstruction remains, switch off the pump and clear it before restarting.
Install the pump fully submerged on a raised, stable surface clear of bottom sludge. Choose pipework with enough capacity for the required flow and allow for lift, bends and friction losses.
Flow is 2,160L/h at 1m head. Actual installed flow also depends on the pipe length, diameter, bends and fittings.
Maintain at least half the maximum flow through the pump for motor cooling.
