The PondMAX PV1600 is for clean-water fountains, patio ponds, statues, aquariums and hydroponic water features. Its maximum flow is 1,900L/h and its separate maximum head is 2.2m. A medium fountain attachment kit (No.30) is included.
The ceramic shaft and water-lubricated impeller need no added oil. A flow adjuster on the front cage reduces delivery, and the housing opens without tools for cleaning. An optional sponge pre-filter can catch debris before it reaches small fountain nozzles; the sponge is not included.
Use the pump submerged, or externally below the source water level with a continuously flooded inlet. It cannot draw water up into an empty inlet pipe. Keep water moving through the pump for cooling and use the recommended hose diameter to limit flow loss.
Flow is 950L/h at 1m head. Actual installed flow also depends on the pipe length, diameter, bends and fittings.
Maintain at least half the maximum flow through the pump for motor cooling.
Two-year manufacturer warranty for freshwater use, extended to three years by free registration with PondMAX within 30 days of purchase. Retain proof of purchase and registration. Marine use has a one-year warranty; consumable impeller parts are excluded. Register the extended warranty.
