Netafim Miniscape 8mm dripline with 30cm emitter spacing is supplied in a 50m coil. Each emitter delivers a nominal 2 litres per hour at 100kPa pressure. It is non-pressure compensated, so changes in pressure affect the emitter flow.
Netafim Miniscape, also known as Landline 8, is small-diameter brown dripline with emitters built into the tube. Its flexibility suits pots, planter boxes, raised beds and narrow planting areas where larger dripline can be awkward to position. It delivers water directly to the soil without an overhead spray.
On flat ground, the maximum run for 30cm emitter spacing is 15m at 150kPa inlet pressure, based on 5% flow variation along the line.
The integral TurboNet drippers draw water from the centre of the flow through the tube. A broad inlet filtration area and turbulent labyrinth help limit sediment entering the water passage and keep debris moving during operation. The brown tubing resists UV exposure.
Use the brown Netafim 8mm straight joiner as the take-off from low density poly supply pipe. Punch a 3mm hole in the supply pipe, push one barb of the joiner into the hole and push the Miniscape dripline onto the other barb.
Cut the coil into the lengths required for the layout and use matching 8mm Miniscape fittings to join, branch or turn the line. Lay the dripline on the soil and secure it with hold-down stakes. The supplied 50m coil length does not mean that a single 50m run will water evenly; allowable run length depends on emitter spacing, inlet pressure and ground levels.
Flush the line before closing it. Fold the end back on itself between drippers, forming a tight kink that stops the water flow. Secure the doubled-over tube with a UV-resistant cable tie to prevent it unfolding. To flush the line later, remove the tie, straighten the end and run water through before closing it again.
