This INGCO digital caliper measures the outside width or diameter of a component, the inside of an opening and the depth of a hole or recess. The sliding jaws cover a measuring range of 0-150mm, with the result shown on the LCD screen.
The larger jaws take outside measurements, while the smaller upper jaws measure inside an opening. The depth rod extends from the end of the beam as the slider moves. A thumb wheel helps position the sliding jaw, and a locking screw holds it in place.
The display switches between millimetres and inches without moving the jaws. The zero button sets a reference at the current position, allowing differences between measurements to be checked. The 0.01mm figure describes the display increment, not a guaranteed accuracy.
Stainless steel jaws and beam are combined with a plastic display housing. The caliper uses an LR44 1.5V button battery and comes in a fitted plastic case for storage.
