K-Rain MiniPro Gear Drive Sprinkler Installation Guide

K-Rain MiniPro 100mm Pop-Up Rotor for turf irrigation.

Its compact body and interchangeable nozzles suit smaller lawn areas.

Coverage is a 5.5–10.1 metre radius across the nozzle choices. Operating pressure is 140–480 kPa.

The spray arc adjusts from 40° to 360° at the top of the sprinkler. The top radius adjustment screw lets you shorten the watering distance. Choose the nozzle for both watering distance and arc so sprinklers on the same zone apply water at similar rates.

The plastic body has a 100mm pop-up height and a 15mm (1/2") BSP female inlet. Its overall height when retracted is 150mm.

Five nozzle sizes are supplied, with the 1.5 nozzle factory fitted.

Warranty: Five years.

K-Rain MiniPro Gear Drive Sprinkler Installation Guide

✓ Product Type and Application
K-Rain MiniPro gear drive pop-up rotor for smaller lawn areas, with a 100mm pop-up height.

✓ Dimensions and Connection
15mm (1/2") BSP female inlet.
100mm pop-up; 150mm overall body height when retracted.

✓ Coverage and Arc
5.5–10.1 metre radius across nozzle options.
Adjustable arc: 40°–360°.

✓ Pressure & Flow
Operating pressure: 140–480 kPa.
Flow across nozzle options at 207–345 kPa: 2.8–14.4 L/min.
See ‘Precipitation Rate’ below for how the arc setting affects the amount of water applied across the area.

✓ Nozzles and Performance
Five nozzle sizes: 0.75, 1, 1.5, 2 and 3. The 1.5 nozzle is factory fitted.

Standard nozzle options.
Example comparison at 276 kPa, before radius reduction:
0.75 nozzle: 5.8 metre radius; 3 L/min.
1.0 nozzle: 8.2 metre radius; 4.5 L/min.
1.5 (factory fitted) nozzle: 8.2 metre radius; 6.8 L/min.
2.0 nozzle: 9.1 metre radius; 8.7 L/min.
3.0 nozzle: 10.1 metre radius; 12.9 L/min.

✓ Radius and Arc Adjustment
Set the arc from the top of the sprinkler. The radius adjustment screw lets you shorten the watering distance.

✓ Sprinkler Spacing
Spacing is the distance between neighbouring sprinklers.
For head-to-head coverage, each sprinkler throws water far enough to reach the next sprinkler. This overlap helps water the area between them evenly.
Use the actual watering distance after adjustment when planning the spacing.
A square layout places sprinklers on a square grid. A triangular layout uses staggered rows.

✓ Precipitation Rate
Precipitation rate describes how quickly water is applied across the area, measured in millimetres per hour.
At the same pressure, the same nozzle uses essentially the same flow whatever the arc setting. A smaller arc concentrates that water over a smaller area.
Different nozzle sizes can help balance watering between smaller and larger arcs, but they also change the watering distance. Choose nozzles that maintain head-to-head coverage; changing nozzle size alone may not suit an existing layout.
Where suitable nozzle combinations cannot provide similar watering rates, put sprinklers with different watering rates on separate zones so their run times can be set independently.

✓ Warranty
Five years.
