The Grundfos CMBE 5-62 is a compact multistage booster for clean-water supply for homes, irrigation and light commercial buildings, with a maximum total head of 62m.

Maximum operating pressure is 1000kPa. Inlet pressure and the pressure added by the pump must remain within this limit. Flow decreases as head increases; the pressure available at a tap also depends on elevation and pipe resistance.
The pump has a 1 1/4" BSP female inlet and a 1" BSP female outlet.
These pumps are for clean, thin, non-aggressive, non-toxic and non-explosive liquids without solid particles or fibres, at liquid temperatures from 0°C to 60°C.
Set the desired outlet pressure using the up/down buttons on the motor control panel. Illuminated bars indicate the setting, while the fitted gauge shows actual outlet pressure. The pump uses an outlet pressure sensor to adjust its speed as demand changes, maintaining the selected pressure within its capacity. Readjust the tank precharge whenever the selected outlet pressure changes.
The pump housing, impellers and shaft are 304 stainless steel. A 2L diaphragm tank, pressure sensor and gauge are supplied as part of the booster assembly. Dry-running protection stops the pump when a lack of water is detected and provides automatic restart attempts. Built-in motor protection covers thermal overload and blocking; no separate external motor protection is required.
CMBE pumps are not self-priming. Before starting, fill the pump casing with clean water through the priming opening and let trapped air escape, following the installation instructions. Maximum suction lift is 1m at a water temperature of 20°C, including inlet pipe pressure loss. Install horizontally on a firm base with space for motor cooling and suitable weather protection and drainage.
The Australian plug version uses a 200-240V single-phase, 50/60Hz supply. Input power P1 is 1720W and maximum rated current is 9.1A.
